Framed scene of 'The Birthplace of Robert Burns'

Introduction:
The Poet Robert Burns was born in Alloway, Ayrshire in this small thatched Cottage on 25th.January 1759. His father who built the Cottage had a 7 acre plot that was cultivated as a market garden. The Poet only spent his first formative seven years here.

Description:
The scene depicts the Cottage during the mid 1800's approx. depicting the Cottage with a tiled annex to the left. This was built during the early 1800's and was used as a public house which remained in use until the late 1800's.
